About Me: I’m an artist at heart and creating color perfection is my jam! Blondes, brunettes, dimensional color, transformations, corrections, subtle changes, BIG changes, and those occasional “I may have done something to my hair at home and now I need help” situations… bring it on. However, give me a pair of shears and I’m just as happy. I love cutting both women’s and men’s hair and creating something that works with the actual person wearing it—not just recreating a picture and hoping for the best. Over the years, my career has taken me through nearly every corner of the beauty industry: advanced color and cutting, extensions, professional makeup artistry, bridal and event styling, lash artistry, and lash education. Bottom line: I luvvvv creating a special outcome with my clients that leaves them smiling long after they’ve left my chair. Simply put: I love people! I’m chatty, funny, honest, occasionally a little blunt, very down-to-earth, and genuinely interested in the person underneath the hair. Come as you are. Tell me what you love, what you hate and what you’ve always wanted to try. And yes, tell me what you actually did to your hair before you got here. I promise I’ve seen worse. We’ll figure it out together.!
First Concert: Tesla at Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, which was awesome. Yep, Tesla At Memorial Auditorium. Apparently that set the tone for the rest of my life.! There’s just something about live music:the energy, the people, the shared experience. I luv it all. It makes coming to Hair Guitar feel like a homecoming..!
Music I Like To Listen To: Everything. Seriously. I LOVE music. Oldies, classic rock, country, rap, hip-hop, R&B… if it’s a good song, I’m in. I love the story, the lyrics, the sound and the emotion—whatever it is that makes you hear a song and actually feel something. Music has always been a big part of my life beyond listening to it. I sing, play piano, write music and lyrics, and I’ve taught my kids and others piano, guitar, ukulele and how to read music. Good music is good music. I don’t care what box somebody decided to put it in. And somehow, after 20+ years of doing hair, the girl who loves hair almost as much as she loves music ended up at a place called Hair Guitar. I think I found my people.!
Favorite Day: Give me sunshine, water, a paddleboard and somewhere beautiful outside and I’m a very happy girl. I love the outdoors, animals, kids, music, painting, drawing, making clothes and costumes—and pretty much anything that lets the creative part of my brain run wild. I’m a mom of four, although somewhere along the way I seem to have become a mom to everybody else’s kids too. I’ve also had the privilege of fostering children over the years. Kids and animals have always had a huge piece of my heart. If there’s love, laughter, creativity—and probably an animal somewhere nearby—I’m happy.
